We launched Summitt Forest Products Molding Solutions in 2005 to satisfy a perceived need within the wood flooring industry for a reputable, service-oriented supplier of top-quality prefinished flooring moldings. Since then, SFP Molding Solutions has seen phenomenal growth thanks to our high quality standards, efficient and friendly service, and competitive pricing.

At Summitt Forest Products we outsource nothing. Is is only be strictly controlling every aspect of the manufacturing process, from green lumber to finished moldings, that we can consistently deliver top-quality finished flooring moldings.

Finest Lumber
Our lumber buying office, based in Florence, KY, oversees all raw-material procurement, choosing only the finest kiln-dried US hardwoods (and select imports as required).

Precision Millwork
We precession-mill every component on late-model German molders, ensuring flawless surface finish and tight tolerances.

Profile Sanding
Every single component is profile sanded using as many as 12 different custom-contoured sanding stations (many manufacturers settle for a single flap wheel!).

Hand-distressing
Distressed moldings are hand-worked to match the associated floor. This hand-work may include hand-scraping, wire-brushing, worm-holing and other distressing techniques as required. We tailor our distressing and hand-scraping methods to uncannily replicate the look and feel of the coordinating flooring, rather than using the one-scrape-fits-all approach commonly used by our competitors.

Color-matching
We custom color-match and finish moldings to match the approved flooring sample you provide. Every production run is custom-matched; we never use a "grid" system of so-called coordinating colors.

We use only the finest pigments and dyes, and verify all color matches with our computerized color spectrophotometer under a variety of lighting conditions designed to replicate showroom as well as residential lighting conditions.

Durable finishes
We apply multiple coats of the finest Akzo-Nobel flooring coatings for a bright, clear and exceptionally durable finish.

Lengths
Our moldings are sold in industry-leading standard lengths of 7 1/2', with 4' pieces available as an option.
